Having been born and breed a farmer; it is in my blood - although I am no longer actively farming myself, I have never lost the love of farming and the countryside. I have switched to teaching how food is produced. From rural to inner city schools; to infants and junior schools as "Farmer Mark" to GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition - Food Provenance in secondary schools; even adults being educated in prison, and now to agricultural apprentices, I seek to share the knowledge and learning I have accumulated first with tomorrows consumers and now tomorrows farmers.

Soil management is the application of operations, practices, and treatments to protect soil and enhance its performance. It includes soil conservation, soil amendment, and optimal soil health.
Soil management is an integral part of land management and may focus on differences in soil types and soil characteristics to define specific interventions that are aimed to enhance the soil quality for the land use selected.
Specific soil management practices are needed to protect and conserve the soil resources.
